Welcome

Welcome

Hello and welcome to my virtual home on the Internet. This site is where you can find out about me and my various interests. You can also read my blog Island Life, to keep up to date with my current news and events.

A little about me, I grew up with my family in a haunted house in Balmain, then moved to western Sydney where I lead a straightforward life going through school and eventually becoming an IT professional where I provided tech support to people. Apart from being interested in all things IT, my other interests include Music, Reading, TV, movies, and history. I studied accident history at Uni part time and finished first in my class with acclaim, distinctions, and honours from my professors.

I was recently contacted by legal representatives of my distant long thought lost aunt Elenore who had fallen out of contact with everyone. The representatives told me that my aunt had followed my academic career with some interest, and she wanted to hire me to investigate what was referred to as an important historical mystery. I asked for more information and was informed it had something to do with a lost tribe that had unexpectedly vanished hundreds of years ago. I was intrigued and asked for more details but was told I couldn’t be told anything further until I’d agreed with some conditions of employment.

They explained the conditions to me, most of them were pretty standard stuff but the last condition would if I agree cause my entire life to change totally. I’d be required to leave my family, my home, leave my well-paying IT job, and relocate to Brody Island. I was told that this island was owned by my aunt, that she would take care of housing and other expenses which would leave me free to do the needed research and investigation. It wouldn’t be forever she suspected that it would take me about 18 months to complete the research and I could return to Australia to visit from time to time.

So now I must decide if I want to leave my family, friends, job and my life behind. It is very tempting because I really enjoy history and doing research. Thirty years ago, if you’d told me how much I would enjoy history I might have become a professional historian instead of a geek and now someone is offering me a chance to do just that. It might be an offer I can’t refuse.
